I have always believed that flowers are far more than ornaments. In our culture, flowers have long been edible, healing, and deeply connected to everyday life, when cultivated with care and value-added with right knowledge.

My journey with flowers began with curiosity and excitement, much like what many of us feel when we see them bloom. In 2022, that curiosity turned into action when I started my own flower garden, growing native flowers and herbs. As I spent more time nurturing them, I began to understand their traditional uses, edible qualities, and natural healing properties. This deeper learning inspired me to value-add floral products the traditional way, directly from the garden to daily life.

That is how Senkanthal Malaragam was born.

Alongside running this brand, I am Kowshick, an Agricultural Engineering graduate, and I also work as a farm consultant, supporting organically grown flowers across consulted farms. Today, these farms contribute to Senkanthal Malaragam, helping us source pure, edible-grade flowers grown responsibly and sustainably.

From floral teas to clear, gentle floral body care products, everything we create begins with what nature offers, handled with respect, tradition, and honesty. I started this journey at the age of 25 with what I had, guided by learning, experimentation, and a deep love for flowers.

Friends Tea House:

Friends Tea House is a story brewed by four friends, Kowshick, Malarmannan, Muthumani, and Magizh, united by a shared love for tea. We travel to small, traditional tea estates where premium-quality leaves are hand-crafted with care. By sourcing directly from passionate growers, we select the finest batches at their peak.

With thoughtful blending and a deep respect for purity, we transform these exceptional leaves into tea blends with rich flavours, deep aromas, and a character as unique as the friendship behind them. For us, every cup is more than a brew, it’s a moment of connection.
